A Nice Place to Live Cottonwood Apartments has purportedly had some poor management and serious problems in the past. Despite this, it is now a great place to live. It is convenient to, but not within view of, Alabama Highway 21 (the primary route between Anniston and Jacksonville). It is very quiet in the summer, and not bad when school is in (Jacksonville is a college town). The apartments are well maintained, and well laid out. Most importantly of all, the current couple who manages the complex are very nice, and dedicated to making Cottonwood great. I can sincerely recommend this to anyone looking to live in this area of Alabama, and it is conveniently an equal hour from both Birmingham and Atlanta for commuters.
