read reviews for pine bend (same place) Just google Pine Bend Mobile, AL for additional reviews (same place.) Here's my gripe. first moved to Pine Bend about a year ago. I rented a one bedroom downstairs apartment (1066 to be specific) for $515 a month. Eh whatever. But it turns out the construction was so shoddy the floor from the above apartment would pop, crack, hinge, whistle, toot f'ing dixie any time the upstairs neighbor moved. I took that crap for about 3 months, then i had to move. I asked the management about what could be done, and nothing. I had to pay $300 to move from one apartment of theirs, to another apartment of theirs. That seems like a shaddy business practice, it wasnt my fault i was being drove insane by the constant thundering herd that was above me... I wasnt taking any chances so i moved into a one-bedroom townhouse, in the same complex. I go upstairs and i can see what was happening, the floor in my own makes noises. The new place isnt that bad, besides the fact the door doesn't close all the way at the bottom, the mexicans that do the upkeep will seriously mow a 4 feet patch of grass outside my window for 2 hours, i have the oldest AC every imagined, the walls are thin, especially in the staircase, and this old refrigerator makes a clicking sound when it runs that drives me nuts. I also live on the main strip of road running through the apartment complex, modified exhuasts and people hauling a$$ and hitting the speed bumps like theyre in a dune buggie is more than common. There is one dumpster (compactor) that is constantly overflowing because no staff operates the compactor on the weekend. The gates seem to be a modern wonder of the world as well. It might be the dumb redneck they hire to fix them, but i'd say 50 percent of the time they arent working. The people that work in the office are typically a bit snobby and pretentious. In all fairness, the grounds crew keeps the place nice. Edit - Delete Show full review
