I have been robbed by these Crooked Attorney's Abusing the System In 2004 my child was born 9 weeks premature at Babtist East in Montgomery. Our insurance didnt provide the best coverage, so we research every line item that we were being charged. One of the charges that was not covered by insurance was a line item for 850.00 from the hospital. Before we paid this amount, we requested additional detail to ensure that it was filed correctly with our insurance. All that we ever received was a 1 line statement for that amount with no breakdown of the fee. Since we could not get the detail we wanted, we refused to pay this portion of our bill (we did pay the rest). The hospital turned our bill over to this attorney for collections about 2 years ago (after the bill was 2 years old). The attorney threated us with many letters and actually threatened lawsuit. After EXTREME frustration, we decided to pay the debt. We made 5 payments at $100 per month and on the 5th month, we received a notice delivered by a county sheriff about this company's intent to ... I called and spoke to Amanda, who pulled my file and saw all the information that I have stated above. She also stated that she wouldnt have paid the bill without detail and that there is not detail in the file. We called the attorney and informed them that we are going to make full payment of the outstanding balance plus all of the other CRAP that had been added on, such as court costs. After payment was made in FULL, my paycheck was still garnished for the full amount. So essentially, I have paid them twice the full amount. They are robbing me and they are not in a hurry to provide any refund. To add to pain that we are going through in trying to recover our money (that we need to pay bills), we are dealing with an inadequate staff at this law firm that cannot provide us a clear direction of where to go and find resolution. If the economy wasnt in a tumble and had the additional funds to go after these guys, I am sure that we would not have a problem finding where this company has VIOLATED the Fair Credit Act. I have called all the partners of this lawfirm and I am waiting on a call back. We want our money back and we want this law firm to stay away. Show full review
