Wonderful place to live! I recently signed a lease with Pierce Properties for one year. I was slightly hesitant after reading this review, however they have undergone a management change definitely for the better. The updated staff is very friendly and helpful. The location could not be better, and the grounds are very well kept. I plan on staying here throughout my lease. I am sorry to hear someone had such a bad experience. Horrible, Deceitful management I moved in for 3 months in the summer of 2010. I put a $250 deposit down 3 months ahead of time to guarantee I had an apartment by May. 2 weeks before I had to move in, they called me saying they didn't have an apartment for me until a week after school ended. Where was I going to live then?! So I went into the office and told them that I wanted my deposit back or get me into a different apartment complex that they owned. They called me back 3 days later and told me they had an apartment for me, then they called back 2 days later saying they didn't have an apartment. I took my brother with me and he got them to open an apartment at the desired complex 2 days later! So they lied about having an apartment open. Then the first month I received my electric bill, I had a $132 tampering fee. I called the management and told them about it, and they sent over the head of management facilities. He said that it was their fault and to go over to the office and have them pay for that fee. I ... I moved in for 3 months in the summer of 2010. The lady I talked to said she would take care of it and I left. A month later I got my 2nd electric bill which said I had a disconnect notice because I didn't pay $132. I went to the office and talked to the manager telling her that the lady I talked to a month ago would take care of it didn't. She LAUGHED telling me that she couldn't pay my bill! It wasn't MY bill it was the tampering fee that the head of management facilities said they would take care of. I just told her off saying that I paid MY part of the bill and she needed to pay their rightful part that day. She ended up calling and paying for that fee. After I moved out after 3 month lease, I get a $200 cleaning fee which is AUTOMATIC! I cleaned that place to be spotless!! This management is just a cheating, lying, horrible management! DON'T LEASE FROM THEM! All they do is lie and give you a hard time the entire time you live there! Show full review
