I lived here for one year. It was a joke from day one. First they give you a list of what it will cost to move in "give or take a hundred dollars" then you put down money to hold the apt and it turns out the estimate you got is about three hundred dollars off, yet there is no point in cancelling the apt because you already put the deposit down. They require you to have insur so if you lose your job they still get their money. I did lose my job & the insur company THEY TOLD ME TO USE sent my rent late to the complex so they billed ME $50 everyday it was late despite the company they promote telling the complex it was their error. My favorite was the fact that they add charges to your rent without telling you and they also entered my apt 3 times for maintenance w/o my consent and let my cat out. I signed a NON-consent form two times because I was worried about my cat being released. Then when you move out you clean, get the carpets shampooed, bleach and much more and they have the nerve to charge you $400 ... It was a joke from day one. I had spoken to them dozens of times regarding things like the running toilet, disposal, chipped counters and they still bill me for it. It's a scam. The people who work there are rude, incompetent, liars and are out for nothing but money. I will never ever recommend this place to anybody and if you live here or choose to go here be prepared to be screwed when you move out. They did NOT take anything I "owed" when I left from my desposit, my deposit magically disappeared and I still had to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket so my credit would not be altered. Then came the actual numbers - the Worksheet - I was surprised to see other big non refundable charges, insurance requirements, etc. Now, since you have already given a deposit that is not going to be returned, you better take the apartment to cut the loss. 2. Even if you take the apartment for only 3 months lease, you need to give 60 (yes, SIXTY) day notice. Otherwise, you cant leave(and Pay)! Scam. 3. On leaving, They have sent the final bill - they have added charges (cleaning etc) and surprised to see the total amount exactly matched to the dollar they owe me. Sounds like a made up number so that they don't have to return any money back! 4. What happened those "after lease, you go month to month ... After completing the lease, I was told only one year lease available. Or 200 Bucks extra for month to month.. Ridiculous. I saw Lakeside village (Dobson & Ray). You go month to month after lease.
