Get the best of all worlds at Alta Ravenwood, a setting unlike any other in Tempe. Two and three bedroom townhomes provide you with the space you need to stretch out and relax. DONT RENT FROM THEM! Their customer service is horrible DONT RENT FROM THEM , their customer service is horrible, having just moved in (not even a month ago, moving from out of state), I can say whole heartedly I would never recommend Alta Ravenwood to ANYONE, Heather , Katie and their Melanie Schaefer are useless, providing sub-par customer service especially for the price .. Do yourself the favor and rent elsewhere.. I cant wait for April to be out of this lease. Awful customer service When my husband and I moved to a Mark-Taylor community, we were told that one of the perks was the ability to transfer to another M-T without having to pay the usual fees or fill out the usual paperwork. We are nearing the end of our lease, and were looking at other Mark Taylor properties that were closer to our work. We settled on these town homes, and we were pretty excited at the chance to be the first people to ever live in our home. Another couple we know also settled on them around the same time. We paid the holding fee and left with our signed paperwork that showed what we would owe upon move in. We were told that we were good to go for move in. A week or so went by, and I called them with a question about getting an accent wall painted. I was told that we were not yet approved, so they would not be willing to discuss my question until after I had turned in employment verification. This seemed like a reasonable request, so I dropped off verification the next day, and one of ... I did notice that the office manager seemed rather cold and unfriendly, but shrugged it off. I usually pay my rent online, and hardly ever see the office staff at my current complex anyway. Another week went by, and my husband thought it was odd that we had not heard anything from them. He called, and was told that we would need to fill out applications after all, and that this was company protocol. When he asked why they didn't contact us with this information, he was informed that they didn't have a phone number for us (false) and that they had sent him an e-mail (also false). Around this time, we discovered that Ravenwood had pulled this with our friends who were also moving there, and asked them to pay an additional $2k upon move in. They would not refund their hold since they were not officially denying them. Needless to say, we were rather weary by this point. I filled out an application online, and had to continue to call them and check on it because they refused to call us back. Eventually, my husband was able to get ahold of someone, who informed him that we had been denied based on our credit. Our credit, which has not changed since moving to another Mark Taylor community nearly a year ago. My husband asked for our money back, and they said that they couldn't find it and that the accountant "must have took it" to their home office. They said it could take up to two weeks for us to receive it in the mail. Of course, we have yet to see it. We have contacted home office,and were told that what we went through was NOT company policy at all, but our issues have not been resolved. To make a long story short, I would not recommend this community to anyone, and my loyalty to Mark Taylor has been seriously damaged. I will never rent from a mark taylor property again.
