Noise level I live at this place right now. The apt it self is great, I have a 2 bedroom master suite. But, they say the noise level between upstairs and downstairs is low. That is a complete lie!!! I have people upstairs that have a 2 yrs old and I swear it sounds like they are dropping bowling balls on the floor. I have complained many times and yes they have talked to them, but now I have a long stick and bang hard on the ceiling!!! There are A LOT of kids in this complex. We are two adults and it would help if they had an area for families and one for singles. I will say mangement on the whole has been very good. But, if you have a problem you really need to be persistent to get the problem solved. I don't know if we will stay after our lease is up, but I hate the thought of moving again so soon, so time will tell. Just take everything into consideration. Nice grounds, bad mgmnt, no guest parking, rent too high I lived at Casa Madrid for 1 year and moved out as soon as my lease was up. I always paid rent on time and they never complained about me. To the contrary, I was disappointed in the how the complex is being run. Management only cares about getting new people and getting money. Once you're in and the lease contract is signed they pretty much wash their hands of you. If something is broken they will fix it but the fix will be inadequate. Example: my dishwasher was broken and they replaced it with the oldest dishwasher on the planet that was filled with calcium and very noisy. I complained but they said it's the only one they had and just because yours broke doesn't mean you get a better one. The one that broke looked almost new so how about getting one built in the same decade. Anyway. As everyone else complained about in other reviews, the parking there is terrible and if you come home after 6pm you are stuck parking down the street. People with garages park in open spots to save ... I lived at Casa Madrid for 1 year and moved out as soon as my lease was up. I always paid rent on time and they never complained about me. People with garages park in open spots to save their garages for storage (problem 1), people park in open spots to be closer to their apartment then their assigned spots (problem 2). This adds up to no-parking. management ignores this issue and continues trying to rent more units. There's no guest parking so if you have family over, they are going to be parking about a block away. My car also got broken into twice while living there and my garage lock didn't work well. They will keep 90% of your deposit so be careful. I left my apartment very clean after spending all day cleaning and touching up nicks. They still took nearly all of my deposit as they charge YOU to put the apt back in rental condition for the NEXT renter. Should this be my charge?? Arnel Management is non-responsive and I called them several times and they don't return your phone calls. Take my advice and do not sign a lease for the first month. Pay exta the first month just to make sure you like the place then if you do, you can sign a lease to lower your rent $250. I paid $1350 a month for a 1 bedroom upstairs. Laundry room washers are expensive and they lower the water volume a lot to save money so you can only do half loads. Get everything in writing and inspect everythig before you sign. I'm just hoping someone will move in with money enough to take them to court but for now the power we have is to not rent from Arnel Properties, including Casa Madrid. Good luck! Show full review
