Current situation at Wimbledon Glen June 2009 I've been here for 6 months and this is what i've got. MANAGEMENT - the sales people rotate every month and responsibility is always brushed off and then they find themselfs pointing at eachother for blame. i'm not too confident that the office manager has anything beyond a HS education as he does not write anything down. really, really unprofessional staff. goes by the name of Scott and has failed several times to submit work orders or relay messages reguarding negotiations. its no wonder why the American workforce is a joke. the maintnance team is strong but short handed. its pretty much up to one guy but he does good work, i cant take that away from him. not to mention friendly. STRUCTURE - this location is sold on the idea that these apartments where designed to be condos. its all bull. just call them apartments, its no big deal. these buildings are old, the carpet sucks (i use area rugs), the painting lacks detail. you'll find spots around the house that were not painted, and ... STRUCTURE - this location is sold on the idea that these apartments where designed to be condos. its all bull. just call them apartments, its no big deal. these buildings are old, the carpet sucks (i use area rugs), the painting lacks detail. you'll find spots around the house that were not painted, and could have been covered with minimal effort. the counters look like an old motel; in an effort to reduce cost a specked treatment is applied to counter tops (not sure if i spelled that right). super small closets, bad craftsmenship all around (kitchen pantry, shower doors, patio doors, laundry room doors, door locks and knobs, etc). LIFESTYLE - if your going to live in apartments you need to understand that people are going to live their lives and noise will be made no matter what. if you cant deal with this concept, buy a house. the gardners are around once a week, usually while i'm at work and they could be better but i'm sure they get paid dirt. the neighbors are friendly and you get a mix of cultures. no this isnt a spanish ghetto, chinatown or the innercity projects. people have different ways of being but everyone seems to always wave and display a friendly smile. like anywhere else you'll have those with their heads so far up their butts that they want to live in a 5 start resort. again, buy a house. as for freeway or street noise... well, look at the location and expect some noise. as for it being too loud, i would disagree or say that it depends on where your located. BUSINESS - i have met 3 neighbors that moved our for the same reasons. Anell, the management company find it to be more profitble to have you look around and find a better first time signer deal as opposed to them giving you their current deal. you will not be granted any kind of loyalty or good tenant discound upon resigning. i'm not sure if its going to be going up or not but i wont stick around to find out. hope this has helped and good luck. oh yeah, this place gets 2 1/2 stars. low because all these issues should have been fixed before i moved in and because the management sucks, but and extra 1/2 for the maintance team trying to do their best. remember not to judge a book by its cover and shop around. i hear Pine Creek Village has some really good offers, like pay your utilites and free cable. look around, everyone wants your business except Wimbledon Glen. peace.
